IDirect3DDevice9::GetTexture Method

Retrieves a texture assigned to a stage for a device.


HRESULT GetTexture(      

    DWORD Stage,     IDirect3DBaseTexture9 **ppTexture );


[in] Stage identifier of the texture to retrieve. Stage identifiers are zero-based. Devices can have up to eight set textures, so the maximum value allowed for Stage is 7.
[out, retval] Address of a pointer to an IDirect3DBaseTexture9 interface, representing the returned texture.

Return Value

If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK.

If the method fails, the return value can be D3DERR_INVALIDCALL.


Calling this method will increase the internal reference count on the IDirect3DTexture9 interface. Failure to call IUnknown::Release when finished using this IDirect3DTexture9 interface results in a memory leak.
