Creates an empty skin mesh object using a flexible vertex format (FVF) code.
Syntax

DWORD numVertices, DWORD FVF, DWORD numBones, LPD3DXSKININFO* ppSkinInfo );
Parameters
- numVertices
- [in] Number of vertices for the skin mesh.
- FVF
- [in] Combination of D3DFVF that describes the vertex format for the returned skin mesh.
- numBones
- [in] Number of bones for the skin mesh.
- ppSkinInfo
- [out, retval] Address of a pointer to an ID3DXSkinInfo interface, representing the created skin information object.
Return Value
If the function succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK.
If the function fails, the return value can be one of the following values.
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter may have an invalid value. E_OUTOFMEMORY Microsoft?Direct3D?could not allocate sufficient memory to complete the call.
Remarks
Use ID3DXSkinInfo::SetBoneInfluence to populate the empty skin mesh object returned by this method.
