Modifies the minimum and maximum level of detail (LOD) of an ID3DXPMesh object.
Syntax
HRESULT TrimByFaces(
DWORD NewFacesMin, DWORD NewFacesMax, DWORD *rgiFaceRemap, DWORD *rgiVertRemap );
Parameters
- NewFacesMin
- [in] New minimum number of faces. This parameter must be between current minimum and maximum number of faces.
- NewFacesMax
- [in] New maximum number of faces. This parameter must be between current minimum and maximum number of faces.
- rgiFaceRemap
- [out] Returns one DWORD per face that contains face remap information.
- rgiVertRemap
- [out] Returns one DWORD per vertex that contians vertex remap information.
Return Value
If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK.
If the method fails, the return value can be one of the following values.
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter may have an invalid value. E_OUTOFMEMORY Microsoft?Direct3D?could not allocate sufficient memory to complete the call.
