Gets the size of the tessellated mesh, given a tessellation level.
Syntax

FLOAT fTessLevel, DWORD Adaptive, DWORD *NumTriangles, DWORD *NumVertices );
Parameters
- fTessLevel
- [in] Tessellation level.
- Adaptive
- [in] Adaptive tessellation. For adaptive tessellation, set this value to TRUE and set fTessLevel to the maximum tessellation value. This will result in the maximum mesh size necessary for adaptive tessellation.
- NumTriangles
- [out] Pointer to the number of triangles generated by the tessellated mesh.
- NumVertices
- [out] Pointer to the number of vertices generated by the tessellated mesh.
Return Value
If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK.
If the method fails, the return value can be one of the following values.
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter may have an invalid value. E_OUTOFMEMORY Microsoft?Direct3D?could not allocate sufficient memory to complete the call.
Remarks
This method assumes uniform tessellation.
