Create a vertex shader declaration from the device and the vertex elements.
Syntax
HRESULT CreateVertexDeclaration(
CONST D3DVERTEXELEMENT9* pVertexElements, IDirect3DVertexDeclaration9** ppDecl );
Parameters
- pVertexElements
- [in] An array of vertex elements.
- ppDecl
- [out, retval] Pointer to an IDirect3DVertexDeclaration9 pointer that returns the created vertex shader declaration.
Return Value
If the method succeeds, the return value is D3D_OK.
If the method fails, the return value can be
D3DERR_INVALIDCALL The method call is invalid. For example, a method's parameter may have an invalid value.
