IDirectPlay8Address::GetDevice Method


Retrieves the local device globally unique identifier (GUID) in the address object. If no device is specified, this method returns DPNERR_DOESNOTEXIST.

Syntax

HRESULT GetDevice(      

    GUID *pguidDevice );

Parameters

pguidDevice
[out] Pointer to a GUID to receive the device in the address object.

Return Value

Returns S_OK if successful, or one of the following error values.

DPNERR_DOESNOTEXISTRequested element is not part of the address.
DPNERR_INVALIDPOINTERPointer specified as a parameter is invalid.
